Notes on week 7 of 2026:


The Pensions Regulator (TPR)

Last Thursday I caught an ear, nose and throat inflection. My doctor put me on antibiotics. I tried to restart work on Monday but quickly had to give up. In total I spent 5 days in bed. 


Tuesday I got up and realised I was supposed to set off for London at 09:00. Managed to make it and eventually arrived at the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) around 12:15. Met my TPR colleagues and then the FCA Innovation team. We spent the day together swapping notes. Was a great day but exhausting, and had to spend half of Wednesday recovering. In total I only managed to work 3.5 days this week :-(

Health

Started with a new therapist this week, this time in-person. They've recommended Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. We spent this first session mapping out my past, present and future + coping mechanisms.
